The Lady Blackhawks played their best game of the young season on Tuesday night, defeating Linden by the final score of 48-29. Brandon recovered from an early 9-2 deficit to take a one point lead into the break and then never looked back. In the second half, the Hawks began to fly, as their transition game and offensive execution led to a 19-7 run in the third quarter which put the game away. A balanced offensive attack which saw seven Blackhawks score, was led by Emma Hill with 15, Cameron Harden with 9, and Kennedy Yerkes with 8. Shawntae Jackson added 7 points and led Brandon’s defensive effort, harassing the Eagle guards throughout the game. The Hawks now enter the holiday break looking to carry the momentum from the victory into practice, as they prepare for 2018, which will begin with a road game against Lakeville High School on January 5 at 7:00 P.M.
