The Brandon-Goodrich Warhawks welcomed the Notre Dame Prep Irish to the Brandon Aquatic Center. The Irish had some strong swimmers on their squad that tested the Warhawks but in the end the boys from Ortonville and Goodrich came out on top. The Warhawks had 5 first place finishes, 6 second place finishes and 8 third place finishes with 15 personal bests and 3 new times set.
The 200 Medley Relay of Junga, Mahan, Machrowicz, and Schrauben returned to the field with an improved time over Tuesday’s race at Fenton.
In the 200 Free Jack Junga, Sam Harvey, and Daniel Geiser went 2,3,4 garnering 9 points for the team.
In the 200 IM Dominic Mahan, Rider Jannette, and Avery Forton earned 8 points.
In the 50 Freestyle David Schrauben reached the wall first, with Ross Thompson and Nick Leskie getting 3rd and 4th for a total of 11 points.
Fresh off his new best time in the 200 IM, Avery Forton followed it up with another personal best and a second place finish in the 100 Fly.
Ryan Machrowicz finished first in the 100 Freestyle, while his teammate Schrauben was narrowly out touched for second place.
In the distance race of the night, the 500 Freestyle, Jack Junga and Daniel Geiser went 2 & 3.
After a first and second place finish in the 200 Freestyle Relay. The boys finished the individual races with the 100 Backstroke and 100 Breaststroke. In the Backstroke Ryan Machrowicz finished third but was followed up by Sam Harvey and Braeden Janette. In the Breaststroke Dominic Mahan placed first with his teammate Eric Hill finishing in third.
Finally in the 400 Freestyle, Brandon-Goodrich finished second and third.
Next Thursday (2/11/2021) they will face off against Flint Metro competitors Corunna High School.
