In the second game of the double header with Oscoda, the Blackhawks, once again prevailed, in a darkness shortened second game, by a score of 3-0. Peter Stewart started on the mound an worked 3 effective innings, allowing 2 hits, a walk and , striking out two batters. Gavin Greil, a freshman, came on to pitch the 4th and final inning, walking one and striking out another.
Offensively, the Blackhawks were led by senior Jacob Turner with a hit and stolen base, Stewart with a hit and an rbi,Jason Young, with a hit and rbi, and Carter Smotherman, with a hit, stolen base, and rbi.
The Blackhawks will take their 2-0 record on the road, next Tuesday, April 9th, playing a single game vs Rochester Lutheran Northwest, beginning at 4:30 p.m. They then will play Clarkston Everest Academy, again, a single game, in a home game, beginning at 4:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 11th. They then, will finish the week with the opening game, of the Tom Cole Invitational Tournament, vs Flint Powers Catholic, at Whaley Field, in Flint, beginning at 8:00 p.m., on Friday night, April12th.
