The Blackhawks came to play at FML Championships with 9 of their 13 Girls making Top 16 on Saturday. The 6 Freshmen led the way.
Haley Buccilli placed 10th in the 100 Breaststroke after having swum a new best time of 1:29.50. Olivia Yerkes Placed 16th in the same event with a new PR of 1:46.88. Luz Medina grabbed 14th in her 100 Backstroke Event with a 1:28.07. Helene Jaworowski finished 13th in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:23.44. While Madelyn Misenar Swam to 7th and 6th place finishes in her 500 & 200 Freestyle races, getting new best times in the form of 6:15.62 & 2:17.72 respectively.
As for the upperclassmen, Rachael Griffin placed 12th in the 50 Freestyle (29.03) and 13th in the 100 Freestyle (1:05.43) by setting new best times in both. Rayven Sterner finished 12th in the 200 IM (2:54.64) and 6th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:24.84). Junior Captain Morgan Saunders had new PRs in both the 100 Backstroke (1:11.43) and 100 Freestyle (1:05.43).
Senior Emily Sosnoski finished 6th in Diving and is looking forward towards competing in Regionals next week.
